Canfield Township was founded in 1798 and has a population of 8,639 per the 2010 U.S. Census. It comprises 26.0 square miles in central Mahoning County. The township is known for the distinctive Classic Revival architecture of its old homes. It is also home to the Canfield Fair, the largest county fair in the state of Ohio, which is now in its 168th year. The Fair showcases the best of agriculture from surrounding areas as well as Family, Friends, Food and Fun for all.
